LOS ANGELES & NEW YORK - Aug. 31, 2026 --For Sidow Sobrino, completing a new album is more than delivering another collection of songs. It is another piece of an independently built entertainment brand spanning music, screen performance and visual storytelling.

That made the circumstances surrounding the completion of *Seminal*, Sobrino’s new 12-song LP, particularly significant. On Aug. 25, as the final master was submitted to distributors, his husband and creative collaborator, Richard Sidow-Sobrino, called with news that changed the tenor of the milestone: country music titan Dolly Parton had died at age 80.

That cross-platform approach has parallels in Sobrino’s own strategy. Music serves as the foundation, while characters, cinematic videos and recurring collaborators expand individual releases into a broader entertainment property.

Richard plays a continuing role in that operation, contributing background vocals and appearing in supporting screen roles. In “Under Your Spell,” he portrays Balthazar, the Royal Butler, opposite Sobrino as The Supreme Sorcerer—turning their personal partnership into part of the creative infrastructure behind the work.

*Seminal* itself reflects that emphasis on ownership and determination. Its title draws inspiration from SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher’s defining address during the historic industry strike and its themes of solidarity and resolve. Across 12 tracks, the LP combines Electronic, Dance-Pop and Disco with driving synths, kinetic rhythms and club-ready production.

The visual component is also extending the project internationally. “Dangerous Joy” earned festival recognition in India, “ROME-ANTICS” entered selections connected to Berlin and London, and “Bad Boy’s Wild Ride” expanded Sobrino’s presence on the international festival circuit.

One element of the strategy remains deliberately withheld: the release date. Rather than announcing *Seminal* months in advance, Sobrino is keeping its arrival under wraps as a surprise for audiences worldwide.
